777 and 787 have electronic checklists. Same concept as the mechanical checklist except a lot of items are 'auto sensed' where it makes sense.

Landing? Gear, flaps, spoilers armed are sensed. Gear down = check list goes green for gear. Flap reach selected landing flap setting (selected in FMC) = checklist goes green for flaps. Spoilers armed? Checklist goes green.

Entire landing checklist - "Landing checklist?" check that it's all green - "complete."

Purty neat stuff.

Airbus is the most comfortable cockpit period.

There are ways to put a side stick in and not follow Airbus logic. Check out the new Gulfstreams. The side sticks actually move!
