I'm a 737 CA for the last one and half years.

I've tried to edit the avatar position numerous times. Unable.

Hmm, changed mine recently. Don't forget to scroll way down and click "save changes" (or similar).

You should go wherever you get hired first. Yes our contract is long and bad!

Yes you should come here.

I fly with lots of Flow thru's that brag they were making 150K at Eagle/Envoy and that their schedules were better.

Well then why did you flow thru? No one made you. And by the way that's a FREE job you got.

An arbitrator awarded you that job.

After Dec 2001 there was no more flow thru.

In 2020 I can guarantee the BOD will send us a subpar TA. This pilot group will have to have the balls to vote it down. Not going to happen.

Worked. Now you need to change your avatar to a small, loud and uncomfortable cockpit picture.

For people that go to Envoy without a degree and flow through what's life like?
Are there any upgrade issues at AA?
I've heard most AA pilots don't have degrees.
What is the difference?

Side note...i fully intend on getting a degree. Unless something changes in a few months.

You don't have a PPL yet. Get your ratings first then Come ask questions. 99% of major airline pilots have degrees.

This is hilarious. Where'd you hear that? I'd venture to guess that aside from a smattering of flow through pilots, everyone has a degree. Maybe 150 pilots out of 15,000 don't. So 1%, which would roughly be your chances of getting hired here with no degree.

That's true now but if we continue hiring and the flows work as advertised the number of people flowing without degrees will increase substantially.

It will still be next to impossible to get hired off the street sans degree.

FWIW, as a guy looking to get hired by someone, anyone, in the next year, but hoping for AA so I can domicile in CLT, this has been a pretty interesting thread. A lot of it is Greek to me, but I reckon I'll get it figured out.

Thanks for all who have posted, both for or against AA.

Blue skies,
-Jake
