Default Japan

Looking for things to go do in Japan where to ride the train to and see the sites or neat towns, have as much as three days off in a row here. Narita ar Yokota area

When are you going to be there? Lived there for 6 years, lots to do depending on how much Yen you want to spend. If you like to ski, there is some world class skiing not too far from Yokota in Nagano, but it is getting late in the season. Bullet train to Hiroshima is a good trip, or to Kyoto is awesome in April, for cherry blossom season. If you are military, check with MWR at Yokota and Atsugi for tour deals.

Climb Mount Fuji if you are there during the season. I can't recall when that is, but a buddy of mine did it and said it was incredible (not too difficult). Also, check out the ruins of the original Edo castle in Tokyo, and the Emporer's residence. They are pretty cool if you are in to that sort of thing. Rappongi is the place for great night life etc...
