Default 80 hours in SZX?

Any ideas on what to do in SZX for an 80 hour layover. Never been there. Is the shopping anything like Shanghai?

Take the public transportation to CAN and back, that should kill most of the time you have!

Default Subway to market

The SZX market is similar but with different things than the Shanghai 580 market.
Directions: From the Crowne Plaza go across the street and go left to the corner with a big intersection (maybe 200 yards). At the corner turn right. You will see a subway entrance in about 50 yards. Go down the stairs. You are entering the subway at one end of the line and the market is the last stop at the other end of the line. Buy a ticket from the easy to figure out machine for about 4 or 5 whatevers. When you get off at the last stop. The station is large with many exits. Take the big staircase (one is much wider than the rest) Go up. I usually end up in some parking garage and take an elevator up. The market is above the subway station. Prices are similar to Shanghai but selection is somewhat different.
The people are initially a bit more aggressive than PVG market but they leave you alone after they think you know where you are going.
Hope this helps.

You could try what I did last time I was there. Find a great mom and pop eatery and enjoy a real Chinese meal. Combined with the inevitable result, you'll use up 40 hours and lose about 40 lbs of body weight assuming you don't OD on imodium first.
To make the experience a little more relaxing, stop by the Walmart and buy a family pack of TP and double volume of Sodoku before you go out to eat. Throw in a couple scented candles for ambiance and a bag of Peanut M&M's, and when you get sick of Sudoku you can time how quickly a body suffering from who knows what kind of intestinal ailment can process peanuts.
Heck, with 80 hours, you can do the whole thing twice.
Have fun.

Sounds like every experience I've had with street meat in Asian countries. One thing I found that works is drink massive amounts of alcohol to kill whatever you are ingesting.
