Except with under-wing mounted engines if you go to max thrust you’re making it harder to break the stall.....you’ve gotta unload the wing first by getting the nose down (perhaps even reducing thrust to aid in getting the nose down)....once you get the nose down then you can add thrust.
Adding power on a 767 will cause a pitch up tendency

I stand by my inadvertently pushed GA with the flaps at 1 followed by an over correction that couldn't be recovered from.

I’ve been on the 767 for 10 years and have somehow managed to keep my interests somewhere other than this forum, so I apologize for the lack of posts. I suppose having thousands of ignorant posts makes you more credible. Since I’ve only made 8 posts though it should be fairly easily for you to tell me exactly which one I speculated on any cause of this accident

There is no way they sat there and watch the thrust go all the way to max then did what they did.
This is as bad as the theory of spatial disorientation. Really? Both guys got it at the same time and neither could figure it out? Jesus

You know that the thrust moves up at a medium pace it doesn't go to max thrust immediately and also you can disengage the auto throttles just as easy with a push of a button located right next to TOGA.

Let's see how well your post ages when the final report is out. For starters there is no such thing as toga on the airplane. There is only GA. It commands a 2k ft/min climb. If what I'm hearing of them trying to expedite a descent with the flaps at 1 it makes perfect sense.
