We have turned our country into something that looks like a professional sports league. Anything to win [just don't get caught], billionaires behind the curtains pulling the ropes and supporting "my team" being more important than facts and justice.
One of the things that surprises me about pilots is that we travel the world, so we ought to see that levels of corruption/rule of law is what determines whether a country is a crap hole or successful -- not right/left. But instead we sit in cockpits and parrot talking points.

That is right! To further your point...
"Just Leave"
I would have to ask, "Leave to go where?" Are you suggesting to leave for another airline where the pilot group already went through this sort of thing? So, in other words, let someone else do your heavy lifting.
What would it be like if everyone felt that way and acted accordingly? Would there be any place good to go work at? Would the airline pilot profession be a profession at all?

Pick your battles. I’ve moved my family around the U.S. to find better work. I’m not saying y’all are wrong. It’s commendable and I see a monthly email where to stand with y’all. . But you have options.

Management would have no choice but to deal with an exodus and act accordingly. I’ve been at a place where the collective “no” vote all but shutdown a company. The morale there is at an all time low from what I hear. I left. I then went to a place where it was clear management had no intention of listening. I left there too. They are shutdown.

To drive that point home our leadership may propose cutting costs in mx. This may have been suggested AFTER increasing our fleet and departures per maintenance dollar to 150% of 2008 levels (2008 and 2018 SEC 10-K data). So we're essentially looking to sacrifice safety again. We're not looking, say, to shed half of our executive weight.
Intervention by regulators and shareholders is the only way forward.

People are emotional and committed to their current courses of action. There already is a mass exodus, especially among junior FOs. Labor pressures alone aren't going to alter anybody's decisions. In fact reason is missing and can only be injected from some, external party. This is sad since all sides are composed of rational people that are working together to create irrational results.

10-Ks report maintenance expenditures, crew and non-flying personnel along with operational data. We have tripled our fleets and departures while only doubling non-flying personnel and maintenance spending.
We fear further cuts to critical administrative and maintenance support. Those cuts have not been announced formally.
