"Atlas / Polar" Pilots - Advice Requested
#71
There are no plans for foreign pilots or FA's at Atlas Air. All FA's are hired, local from the IAH area. One plane is painted at HKG. New base bid within the next week to man IAH. Somebody knows something.
The rumor is that Sonair wanted an excuse to change operators and the pilot /FA unions were a good place to put the blame.

Hope your right. That sounds logical and all; however, I read a copy of the letter and it reads just as the previous poster said. I've been working under AAWW for a while now on the Polar side and have learned enough not to trust anything or anyone in Purchase. If u don't think AAWW would have Angolan crews flying your airplane for half your pay in a second, I believe you r seriously mistaken. I wouldn't put anything past these guys.

I hope I am wrong btw... I wish nothing but the best for you guys on the other side of the fence... Soon to be my side of the fence too. I just have learned over the years to believe none of what I hear, half of what I read, and all of what I see.
