767s won't be parked.
Neither are the -8F's.
The CMI 777's go to DHL UK.

Net loss of 2 airframes.

at any rate how can we expect management to open up with anything if it’s posted on
public forums right after?

How about everyone goes back to discussing things on the union forums. Not everyone wants to be on Facebook. We had a healthy amount of discussion on the old union forums until we were pushed to an unofficial way of communication.

Confidential?
Decisions like this are not made overnight
This was known many months ago already, only just now shared with the workforce.
That certainly doesn’t make it earth shattering, market influencing news.
DHL had a less then expected 2nd quarter and is moving some assets around.

Maybe it would be nice if DHL sold their interest in the Polar certificate. I don’t know if that would be bad or good. Fun to think about though.

Or if Apollo sold their Polar interest to DHL.

i don’t believe that could happen though, DHL isn’t an American company. That is why they couldn’t be a majority shareholder of the the certificate. I get your point though…..something to think about

We can't complain about being left in the dark about while at the same time blab about things that we are asked to keep confidential. This is the same gripe I had when we had poeple on various committees leaking things covered by NDA into group chats, etc. We burn the relationships and trust to function in the long term through this stuff. It's not about the specific nugget; it's about eroding communications.

I think some of the rush to communicate and leak around this is driven by image management too. I hope I'm wrong.

If you want the tin foil hat view, I say the only reason this was shared with Atlas pilots during this zoom call was to create a narrative that now's not the time to be upping pay. Just one Toydarian's observation.

Not only that, hints were dropped that it had to do with on-time performance which made this a very convenient opportunity to gaslight the pilot group.

Do-you-really-think-that-confidential-information-is-shared-on-a-systemwide-zoomcall?

I’ve spelled it out for you.
Synchronicity is a powerful tool.
Two airframes less out of 104(?).
