Yep. Agreed. On track for around 204k. Had full month off for vacation and have only picked up a couple of overtime trips this year. Also on year 3 pay since March.

Sounds great what y'all are making. Can you share how many hours you guys are flying versus crediting and if/how much of that is hazard pay?

There are very few hazard pay flights remaining and they’re only on the 74 fleet.
So just leave them out of the equation.
(Days gone - 2) x 4.85 = 70 hrs + $1,000 Per Diem = monthly gross income.
Don’t count on being able to pick up Open Time in your first year.
You may but just don’t count on it.

I appreciate the response. I'm trying to figure out how some of the 74 guys are on track for $200k in a year at $165/hr. Even at 80 hours and $1k per diem a month only equates to $170k. They're either picking up lots of OT or the 74 had a lot of 100 hour months, unless I'm missing something.

There are always exceptions.
Also an outbase nets you 144 hrs credit and $2,000 per Diem.
That’s $25k gross for the month.
Two outbase a year is $50k.
So your $180k plus two outbases equals $230K.
Also some overtime trips can be very lucrative at 30-60hrs credit.
Oubase is basically a 30 day reserve line from an outstation.
There is money to be made but you need to hussle and flow.

Notice this body by Atlas on this ORD 3 year 74 FO

Few big months and it adds up. I had almost 170 hours of credit in July with 10 days off.
Can't really count on it, but the topic of the thread was real world income, and this is my real world.

Oh wow, that's a fat credit. I was just curious as to what sort of credits you guys could get to pull in that kind of money. I didn't realize some OT can go up to 60 hours. Just a couple of those a year and you have a big bonus. Out basing doesn't sound fun unless you can get a month off. I appreciate the info.

Our OT is weird. That month I had a 100 hour OT trip but I only blocked 7 hours on that trip.

Just be realistic about it. To make good money, you work more days than your peers. And when junior, OT is more about luck than anything else.

There are times when Outbasing works. I did a bunch of house improvements last year and had to choose between living with the in-laws for a month, or making enough money to pay for those improvements that month. It was an easy decision.
