The 10/02/2023 hires are mostly done in Miami, some have another 1-2 weeks left. So looks like 3 months is a pretty good estimated average time in Miami. Looks like there is now a 2-3 month wait for OE though. The most junior line qualified 747 FO for January bidding was a 07/10/2023 hire. The 07/31 hires are going through OE now.

Based on what Dera just wrote...

1 1/2 weeks of INDOC and Airline Orientation Course
2 Weeks Systems
1/2 Week for the Orals
3 Weeks Fixed Base Sims
3 Weeks Full Flight Sims
1 Week Type Ride
2 Days Line Orientation
2 Weeks Final Sims (LOFT, Upset, Differences, Landings, CAT II /III, etc)

Throw in a few extra days off and you are at 3 Months.

Schedules are published on the 25th for the following month. That's about as we can give you.

And those schedules are subject to change on a daily basis. They do try to work with you if you have a week off and you let them know you intend to fly home, but they will also tell you those days off are not guaranteed and to check your schedule daily.

During your time in Miami, no-one tries to screw with you, but it's still the worst part about the whole Atlas experience. Mostly because it's Miami. The Atlas part is fine.

What's wrong with it being in Miami? For my class, they said half the class with go to Japan for the Sims.

Anyone know how 767 training is looking as far as time in Miami and how long to finish OE?

Spend 3 months or more in Miami and you will understand.

Blanket statements like that do not help. Please provide an actual reason/example

Cars being broken into or stolen, guns being pointed, muggings, heck just walking down the sidewalk is high risk due to Miami drivers. Odds are none of these things will happen to you or your classmates. 🍀

All of that is just training in how to avoid problems once on the road at Atlas in “some of the more interesting places” we go.

Because Miami is one of the nastiest sh*tholes anywhere in the world, and spending 3 months there is torture.
