Hey guys I was wondering if I could get a little bit of info about the international gateway program.

Does the company really pays 1250 each way to commute from outside USA? And the process is easy? Or you have to do a lot of calls to get the tickets?

im currently working at a regional airline but atlas is calling my attention because my family and partner live in Barcelona, so if the international gateway program really works, I think it will be a perfect fit for me.

what document do you need to show to the company to prove that you live outside of the country? I suppose that my permanent resident card from Spain would be enough right?

and for what I understand, the best option will be the 747 out of MIA to have an easy commute, are they actually giving the 747 during Indoc?

International Gateway, as I now have had 1x one way ticket and 2x round trip tickets purchased, works like this.

Ensure HR updates eCrew with your foreign address, simple email, so that travel sees you are a XXX gateway.

Find your ideal flights on your preferred carrier, I assume AA for you out of Spain. Email our travel desk the details, I like to highlight savings off the 1250 one way cap, and a few hours later, check your AA app, be happily surprised to find the booking, and select your seat.

You will have a hotel booked in base upon your arrival, and you will have a hotel booked between returning to base and heading for home if needed.

Suffer through a few months of economy seats until your status rapidly builds and you secure complimentary upgrades.

As for base and aircraft... ORD 747 or MIA 777 or 747 when commuting out of Spain. JFK is really expensive when you are trying to find food on layovers. 767 JFK is a good option, it is a phantom base, as of now you will never see it... until something changes. I do FRA to PDX on the 767, but I am from Portland and still have family there. It works well.

When do they actually tell you what airplane you’re getting?

Good luck on the interview. Make notes about every topic on that study sheet, and when you get the packet, make notes about every term and figure you are given. Half of the Tech Interview is finding out if you are responsible enough and cared enough to study and prepare.

They will ask you your aircraft preference. It is a great question, as you get to express your wishes, and they get to find out if you actually researched the company well enough to understand where the fleets fly, who we fly for, what kind of schedules you'll be on, and are aware of the change in work lifestyle that is ahead of you.

I had the same exact question except my wife and I have an apartment in Medellin Colombia. I JS before on Atlas on the 747 from Bogota, wish they came to MDE. So I just let travel know of my address in Colombia and use my US mailing address for tax purposes correct?

Yes, your last sentence os correct. And, for what it's worth, we are flying MDE on the 767. Subject to change at any moment.... perhaps it is just a few weeks of valentine's day flowers.

Yes, MDE gets busy even for Mother's day. I'm starting my application now. How often is Atlas running classes? thanks for the reply appreciate it.
