Ahh, the school house rumors...

Don't make promises like that, you need all your time to study, and can't afford the time required to pass along all the rumors that swirl in the Crystal Palace.

Good luck.

So are the academics tough?! Are you expected to draw out systems by the time you are done? Is there anything I can be doing now to better prepare myself for 747 training... granted I don't know if I'll be flying the classic or 400.

Danke!

Ask any of the guys that have recently gone through the course, and they will tell you that your 6 weeks will go by really fast...

Translation: towards the middle of the program, after the ground school and before the sims start, is the toughest time during the 400 training...you really feel the pressure of the looming oral exam, and feel that you don't have enough hours in the day to get it all in your head.

But, of course, you do get it all in your head...and it works out fine in the end.

The recently-hired will tell you that there are plenty of CPT and SIM events for you to work out kinks...

I know that this is not the most important thing considering the tragedy that has occurred and is occurring in Japan. But will this have any impact on the level of flying that Atlas is doing. And will the current hiring continue? Also has the unrest in the middle east impacted Atlas?

God bless everyone affected by the catastrophe in Japan and the Middle east.

I'm getting ready to go to MIA. Can anyone who has interviewed tell me the names and titles of the people I will meet? I just want to familiarize myself. Thanks. A PM would be great. Wish me luck!

I wouldn't sweat it. They're all super friendly and introduce themselves as you go on through the day.

But chances are you may (or may not) get to meet the person that did your phone screen.

Also, they have a line pilot in the HR portion, more than likely NOT the same people all the time.

Yovanka will be the intro person as well as take you around the training center...Richard roland does the chief pilot type interviews....John ??? does the "technical" interview.......Adam ???? usually does the breakdown/intro of the company and covers what to expect during the interview day..KEvin Oreilly, an HR rep, and a line pilot do the get to know ya interview .take it easy relax and drink a beer the night before...this was what i could recall from May 2010 experience.
