I heard from a reliable (second hand) source that according to D.B. the hiring window is going to close for the year.

With that said, things may change...

New base bid out today. 15 747 ANC new hires. 10 767 new hires. 8 767 captain upgrades for CVG. Captain upgrade class starts Nov 4th. FO new hire class dates not announced.

Also 8 747 CA upgrades (6 HSV, 2 IAH), class date TBA.

Junior 767 CA is a 2005 hire, junior 747 CA is a 2000 hire.

That should drain most of the pool. :D

Also, I believe 5 of the 747 new hires are already in class, along with 3 guys coming back from MIL/MED leave.

Not quite the same numbers you'll see at the majors, but then again they have more than 10 times the number of pilots on their seniority list. At Atlas you'll be a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

Question: Has anyone called scheduling and asked if they could convert R-2 into R-1?
