I've had enough turns involving sitting somewhere around the world for two, three, or four weeks or more, without ever coming close to guarantee, that I'm quite sure it's possible to go 20 days without breaking 60 hours.
I've also been rushed deadheading to this assignment and that, multiple oceanic crossings, never once in the seat...but lots of good quality reading going back and forth. Just because you're out in the field doesn't mean you're making bank.

I was under the assumption that the 737 will be all night turns and thus no 72 hour layovers etc. On the airline side even a cvg-dtw is blocked around 1:30 each way, some of the routes have already been scheduled and I don't think you can do a cvg-aus etc turn in less than 4 hours block.

It is incorrect to suggest that Southern is requiring pilots to jumpseat on company business. All B737 crews are based in CVG. The company does not buy airline tickets for them to get to CVG from wherever they may live. They use the jumpseat in the same way that other airline crews do. It is just a great departure from the way we've always done business. I only mention this to protect the crew's ability to get to work against some uninformed slander.
