Atlas Interview on the 16th Jan in Miami
#61
I find it interesting that 9 out of 10 Atlas guys (and gals) claim that Atlas will hire as soon as minimums are met. I was recently at a job fair and was fortunate to have the chance to meet a recruiter (great group). Although hiring mins are 2000TT and 500 jet, the recruiter informed me that they are looking for pilots with much more flight time. At the time, I had just over 2500 TT, 1050 jet, 121 experience, no checkride busts or driving infractions, and I'm bilingual (almost trilingual if French conjugations weren't a weakness of mine). He asked about internal recommendations and I informed him that I had 4. Still haven't even gotten the online assessment haha. Oh well. Patience is key!

My experience with airline recruiters over the last few years is that what you hear from a recruiter has absolutely no bearing on the response you will get to your application.

Nothing wrong with being thrifty! You know ... they only give you a penny for your thoughts but you always have to put your two cents in. SOMEBODY is making money in that deal and and it's not me!
