Default Night Currency

We know that FAR Part 121 pilots are not required to maintain night currency while operating FAR Part 121 passenger flights at night.

Sometimes we operate an FAR Part 91 ferry flight as the last flight of the duty period at night. Occasionally we take company employees as passengers on these flights. In this case would the PIC have to be night current?

I'm pretty sure 121 currency applies while doing 91 ops for the 121 (119) carrier. It's in the regs.
