Default Vintage Plane Grounded By Lawsuit

The CBC published a story that may be viewed at CBC News - Nfld. & Labrador - Vintage plane's dream flight grounded by lawsuit, concerning a lawsuit over a PBY Canso EVAS Air Charters owner Pat White "borrowed," that has not yet been resolved as of 2 November 2010.

As everyone in the industry knows, my airline's AMO is the only entity that may legally turn a wrench on any of the line's aircraft...does time and the law really go back sixty years if I fly to Newfoundland?

Will my crew and chartered passengers face the real prospect of having to walk home after some entrepreneurial local [deleted] takes a fancy to submitting a claim for "ownership" of my airline's property to "Fred the Local Judge" after the [deleted] claims to have "serviced" said same aircraft?

It's a valid question that our respective legal departments should take a long, hard look at when we're flying to really strange places.
