Smile Temporary Expiring

My temporary is 90 days old, coming up on that dreaded 120. Still haven't received my permanent. Is there anyone in specific at the FAA I should contact or just talk to the check airman who signed my temporary?
Thanks

Pretty sure if you go back to the check airman, they can give you a new temporary right there. I'd still ruffle some trees at the FAA though.

Look on the FAA website, it is possible to contact the FAA and they will fax you a letter confirming that you do indeed have a certificate. I believe the letter is good for ?60 days?

Check the FAA website as well to see if the date/information on your file has changed, from my experience it'll update on or about the day they manufacture your new certificate.

From the FAA website (today):

"We are currently processing permanent Airmen Certificates for temporary certificates that were issued approximately August 30, 2012."

Airmen Certification

If your ride was earlier than that date by more than a week or two, I'd give OKC a ring and see what's up.

My ride was early in July...
I called (405) 954-3261, apparently my permanent is in the mail. They emailed me a temporary that will be good until December, just to be safe.
Thanks for all the responses! Pilots helping pilots

Default Temporary Expiring

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I thought my experience could help someone with this same question. I had some of my paperwork lost for my ATP and I had to get a new temporary not once but twice. My case was different because my paperwork had not been processed and, and as a result they couldn't issue me the 60 day letter. Both times I simply walked into my local FSDO and asked for help with my temporary. In both cases I explained the situation to the inspector. They went back to research the situation, I assume the probably called my POI and/or APD to verify my story, and then issued me a new temporary on the spot. No big deal.

Every time I go to the FSDO they've actually been quite helpful. It's not the scary place some people make it out to be.
