George Washington's wisdom has never been more correct. Friendly relations with all, entangling alliances with none. I'm aware of our obligations, but I have no interest in coming to their rescue for the third time. They have their own militaries, if they're at a disadvantage it's of their own making.

Exactly. Germany gave up its energy independence to rely on Russian imports. Now Europe is facing the consequences of their own actions.
