Unfortunately, past performance is not always a predictor of future performance because market conditions can change big time. Covid and the pilot shortage don’t help. I’d like to see this work but it is a challenging time. I still think we need to give Breeze 12-18 months from start before we write the obituary. I agree pilot pay must increase to retain and attract good pilots.

For me, what is intriguing is how he intends to use the A220s with quick change interiors and for extended range flights. We need more innovation like that and people willing to try new things as more capable equipment like the A220 become available.

Regardless, I believe we will see a JB-Breeze merger (or asset purchase) in the long term. JB would probably gladly take the A220 airframes to complement theirs down the road.

I was always told JetBlue never really became a successful airline until Neeleman left!!

I don’t think it has to do with the fact he was gone but more with the fact they unionized.

The OG jb ppl really like the guy.
