While the article says they got a better deal on the 190’s, my guess is the true reason for the switch is because Azul was forced to defer the entire remainder of their order of E2’s to restart deiveries in 2024 which will require the E1’s to stay around longer.
Between these 15 planes and all the ones AA just retired, Breeze should be able to get some extremely cheap 190’s.
