Default Good 100% online aviation school?

I'm currently a CFI and I have a BA in Computer Science. However, I was looking to get a bachelors in aviation to qualify for R-ATP. What is a 100% online, good program that will accept my ratings and maybe some transfer credit? Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe your training has to be done through the university (not accepted credit for your ratings) in order to qualify for the RATP.

What he said. You need to do the flight training in the 141 university program associated with the degree. You could probably get some credit if you showed up with a PPL, but you're all done...

In your case, it's 1500 hours.

I'm in the exact same boat. Finished my BS, then started flight training through a 141 school. I've spoken to with the FSDO and like it has already been stated, I'm SOL, on the R-ATP. But if you can find a good, and busy flight school it will go by quickly, best of luck.

You actually want to do a four year degree to get out of doing a few hundred hours of flying?

No, I think he thought he could knock out the degree online and get RATP mins, after having completed his ratings. tnalkire is referring to CFI time going by fast, not student time. He's correct, CFI time goes by fast... enjoy it while you can.

I know what he's trying to do. Get a four year degree to get out of doing a few hundred hours, as I said. The difference between seeking a restricted ATP and meeting full ATP minimums is a few hundred hours, and he's trying to get to it with a four year degree.

The ATP only requires 1500 measly hours. Is it such a freaking hardship to simply get 1,500 hours of experience before applying that people are seeking to get a four year degree to get around needing 1,500 hours (getting to the restricted)?

The gotta-have-it-now generation will apparently do anything to get out of doing anything to get there. He's already got one four year degree. Go get another? By the time he gets through doing the 30 credit hours or so of classes needed to earn the new degree, he could have flown off triple the hours, and been paid to do it.
