I think you would be wasting your time if you don’t go to a top tier airline job. Kalitta is far from top tier due to the pay and schedules. If you go there, I predict you will be back in the corporate world in the near future.
Having said that, kalitta would be a good place for you to go to start building airline experience while you get the degree. By 2021 you will have a Bachelors and about 1000 Part 121 to use to complete apps at the top airlines.

You’re in a golden cage right now.
It will take you literally years before you reach $200k.
At Kalitta you need to be a 12(!) year Captain at min guarantee to break $200k
At a United a 12 year FO or First year Captain with a 8-10 year upgrade.
If you have 300k stashed away to maintain your lifestyle go for it.
How safe is your job when the economy tanks again?

If the OP can't take the pay cut at the regionals, he can still sit tight, finish the degree and get his apps out there. Odds are the boys bigs will come looking for him eventually.
The best long term economic outlook probably involves a trip to the regionals to expedite a call from the bigs, but of course you'd have to bridge the pay gap and take the risk of not getting called.
