Again, thanks for everyone’s replies! Haha I enjoyed the debate about where it’s a “bust” or not. Honestly, it never even crossed my mind to try and hide it. Pink slip or no pink slip, i went in with the intention of getting a new cert. and I unsat. To me, it was a checkride and I will present it as such. My concern was if having this one bust on my applications would have a big impact on my chances of flying for a legacy. From what I gathered in this thread, it shouldn’t be a big deal. I learned my lesson and just need to move onward and upward!

Try not to get any more, one is no big deal.

Try to avoid 121 busts, they'll be more concerned about that than GA. But 121 training is pretty consistent at *most* airlines. Avoid airlines which have bad reps for their training programs (a few regionals and LCCs).

Now hear this:

Spin City:

No, I passed the evaluation/checkride. The examiner/check airman, however, failed to pass me.

Or

No. The check airman was coming up short to make his quota, and I successfully helped him out in a time of need.

Or

I have no recollection of that, senator.

Or

Can you define the word "is?"
