I am on the fence about going to the regionals or staying at my current position. I have an upcoming interview with a regional, however changes with my current job and financial situation have made it so my availability date is now sometime next year or later. If I interview and turn the job down would I be able to reapply in the future for this airline?

I wouldn't waste everyone's time, just tell them you're not in a position to take the job now and will be interested in interviewing at a later date.
Especially if it's a regional owned by a major. Those have been known to share that sort of info with the major... you might be burning a much bigger bridge than you thought.

It wasn’t intended to waste time and next year I will reapply and be ready to make the move. A month ago it was the right decision, today based on some changes it isn’t the right time. I did ask to be taken off the interview schedule based on your advice. Thank You
