What did you end up doing?

Finishing up CPL and going to apply to the department aviation unit this year, there's some openings due to coming retirements.

If by some chance they take me, great. Get paid my normal salary to log time and away from the overtime nonsense. Retire in 10 years and go right into regionals.

If not, I don't know. This year gave me a lot to think about. A lot has changed at my job. There was recently a huge raise and they are restructuring the work schedule for less appearances. Maybe the year off helped my burnout, but until I get back I don't know for sure.

There's a lot more in aviation than just airline flying.
