Best choices for experienced Intl WB pilot.
I would appreciate your take on my particular situation.
B777 skipper in the Middle East, 10K total time global pax/freighter experience, 2K wide-body command time.
Moving to the US on the Green Card, paperwork all in order, including Unrestricted ATP licence (with 777 rating).
I am 52 and in reality have good 10-12 years of flying here ahead of me.
Looking for a stable wide-body gig with competitive salary, reasonable amount of time off, excellent health insurance package, good 401K (to take advantage of the few, modest career years ahead).
I do not mind settling down at any base/domicile across the country (although I would prefer to be based somewhere along the East Coast) and I am not that desperate for a quick command upgrade either.
I have been flying hectic rosters for the last 10 years and need a break, really, so the 'quality of life' aspect is my top priority.
I want to keep on flying actively, but want to spend more time with my Family.
Appreciate your comments,
Dom

All major US airlines are unionized. Your background will not be a factor in your assignment; it’s just seniority.
Do you have any US 121 experience? If so, a regional DEC position might make sense.
Otherwise a ULCC will probably offer the fastest seniority progression as people leave for the majors.
Spirit/jetblue/frontier would be my suggestion for a 10 year career

ACMI is nearly all widebody. Atlas, Kalitta, Western Global, Omni, ATI, ABX, National, etc. Charter, ACMI, various freight. National is hiring direct entry captains now.
If no US 121 experience, it's still a thousand hours to upgrade.
If the path is chosen to go with a legacy carrier, it's a seniority game. Other carriers, yes, and no, depending on which one, but there are fewer pilots.
FedEx, UPS. If you want widebody, UPS.

Thank you all,
Seems that, the UPS/Fedex is offering the best package in the Cargo segment at the moment and the most stability compared to other ACMI operators.
I am tempted to go with United 777 if there was a choice of a fleet at all.
Not really into ULCC or Regionals.
Thanks again

You may get 777 in class at United but can definitely get it within the first year and likely before laying hands on another aircraft.
Seniority within a single hire class is based on age, so you would be likely to get any 777 slots offered. They have some 777 slots many classes but not 100%
