As a soon to be furloughed pilot, how should one handle the question if resigning seniority is a requirement at a new airline. I am not totally happy with the company that is about to release me but I am not quite ready to say goodbye forever. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a way to get around this?

That might give you a leg to stand on, but if it's that important to you talk to a real lawyer in the labor law field.

I sent ALPA legal an email yesterday. If I don't get a reply, I'll call soon.
This is a significant concern, because my last job was perfect. And, most likely, my replacement flying job is going to be back in the regionals.
