Default Logbook question

I am looking for a job after 17 years with the same company.
Logbook was kept up to date for first 8 yrs. From that time, I recently used computer records to put flight time into a new logbook, as my other logbooks were full. I made monthly totals. Each page now has basically a calendar year on it worth of flight and sim time.

I logged night and intrument time at approximately the same ratio per hour as the first 8 years with the company.

I also put the computer records themselves into a 3 ring binder. Is that professional enough?

Do I show them both the logbook and computer records?

ANy advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Pekay

pekay,

If there is any question as to the hours you logged after that first 8 years you might consider asking the company for a printout.

Yes, you will show both your original logbook and your computer records. Remember, this is your diary, your word. They need to be able to do some cross-checking just to be sure you are what you present. Can they read and understand what you are logging?

Professional enough is subjective. Would you be impressed if someone handed it to you?

Hope this helps.

PS - don't forget to sign each page of your computerized logbook! (sorry....)

Default have printout

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I have printouts for each calendar year, with their totals, in a binder.
My logbook now has monthly totals, with the annual totals the same as the printouts.

I have sim times and dates since a new hire as well.

I would of course bring both to any interview.

I believe in its presentability. Pages are signed. Of course, it hasn't done me any good yet because nobody has called me for an interview.

Thanks.
