Default Jepps

Hey guys,
Does anybody know of any good study material for jepps? As well, what jepps do you carry at the airlines? I have read various things, is it all of the airports that have a runway greater than 6,000 ft?

Thanks in advance

The best study material is the legend that comes with a Jepp pack. Learn what all of the symbols are, and understand what they all mean. Approach plates, SID/DP, and terminal and enroute charts.

Airlines will have a customized pack, with some special plates (custom ILS's, etc) which will include all their destinations plus all realistic alternates and diversion fields with a runway long enough for the airplane in question.

Not to be sarcastic, but have you tried the Jeppesen website? I haven't looked in years, but I seem to recall they had pretty good legends available to the general public.

I could not find one when I looked a couple of years ago. The best thing to do is find someone with a jepp set and like rick said, they all include a really good legend for studying.

Thanks, guys. I have a few Airway Manuals so I will definitely check out the introduction section. Thanks again!

I believe the legend section is 40+ pages. Fine small print, lots of info.

Not sure if this will help;

Approach Chart Legend

Or possibly try this one;

General Aviation IFR Chart Clinic - Jeppesen Supplies

Like others have said though, the material in the Jepps is the best resource.

Very pricey but if you're a visual type of a person you'll like this video...
