I was just looking for some good answers to some standard interview questions, or at least an acceptable textbook answer to questions such as "where else have you applied, and do you have offers"? Of course I applied to two majors, two fractionals, and a box company and have interviews with two of them, however I like ABC air the most and would like to be a part of it.
As a pilot, I like to give myself several options, would an hr person today be looking for this type of answer?

I can see telling ABC that they are your number one choice no doubt, but if a company gets mad that you are looking at other companies for employment I'd have to question whether I wanted to work for that type of company.

Talked to a HR person at a large company(non-aviation) and was told to answer this type of question vaguely. My friend mentioned that you might not know what they want to hear so answer with caution. Something to the effect of having resumes out there and that you're looking. They shouldn't press the issue and if you answer one way or another they might not like your answer.

This is fairly simplistic - don't read too much into this question. The fact is that EVERY employer on the face of this Earth wants to know that you really want to work for THEM.
You will prove that through your entire interview.
Don't mistake - and this is probably most important to remember - they know the game...they've been there, played it (perhaps still are.) So you can't say you've applied only with them...unless you can convince them that's true. But you also don't want them to think you'll take any 'ol job out there, so limit how many apps you admit to.
