People often get them bound. It's not too expensive. The higher end software apps have a print out mode which replicates a traditional logbook page.

I had mine (LogTen Pro) spiral bound at Staples. It ended up costing me $8 with nice paper, it came out really nice and clean looking. Thanks for the tip rickair.

Along the lines of e-logbooks;

I had my laptop stolen, along with the car it was in, a couple of years back.

Unfortunately I hadn't backed them up through another source. I was able to closely approximate my times through my statements on my FAA medicals (every 6 mos.) though and transferred that into my new, backed up, e-logbook.

I can provide the last two years to a prospective employer accurately, but am missing the middle 10 years.

How should I handle this?

Can't tell you how to tackle this, but for future reference (and others) I back up my Logbook Pro once a month, and save the back up file to Google Documents.

I've got all my flight times, destinations, night, imc etc. but I'm missing tail numbers for about 3 years. How would you tackle this?

Also my 121 IMC is about 0.9% of total 121 time. All east coast flying. Is this about what you would expect to see?

Thanks guys

I've always been told 10% of your flight time is acceptable for IMC, anything more than that will raise questions.

Tail numbers, if you can't get them from your company then I guess you can always go onto airliners.net, type in your airline and start guessing

Default Multi Hours

I have 120 "total" multi hours, of which 86 is solely PIC. The 34 hours is from Dual multi received. I have some multi hours where I was simply just there in the right seat. My assumed sense of what the airlines are asking for is mutli PIC only. Please confirm or clarify if I'm being too conservative.

Dual Received Multi time is still "Multi" time. Unless PIC multi is specified - I would include it.

But as for the hours you were just sitting there: If you weren't giving or receiving instruction, and you weren't the PIC, then you were just a passenger. Correct me if I'm wrong on this guys.

Depends on where you are applying. Is any of your 34 ME Dual Received after your initial multi rating? AirlineApps.com doesn't allow you to list dual/pic time as PIC it's dual or PIC. If you are applying to an airline that doesn't use airline apps then I would list Dual/PIC (again post initial checkride) as PIC time. Remember ME time is one of the key ways airlines filter through resumes and applications.
