I am moving to Southern California. I am wondering what the job market is like for a pilot with 3000TT, 1500 turbine, 400 multi. I have done most of my flying into major US airports but am relocating with my spouse from Canada. Thanks!

Are you speaking about Southern California only or are you looking to commute?

Skywest will hire you. If you can talk them into putting you on the Brasilia instead of the jet you can go to Fresno. If you get hired on the jet you could probably also get into FAT or another Cali base before too long.

Was looking to work in southern California. Preferably south of LA and San Diego would be ideal. I am looking into corporate and charter companies but don't know anyone down here so it's been tough so far. What's Skywest pay start at?

Lots of corporate and 135, but it helps if you know someone. Might need to get a CFI job to get your foot in the door and get to know some folks.
SNA, CRQ, and MYF have FBOs, schools, and plenty of kerosene burners.
HMT and SEE have thriving GA populations.
L65, OKB, SDM, RNM are not as busy but might have a CFI opportunity.
