Default Which is better? Type rating or multi time

Ok so I little input please. Which will be more beneficial have a type rating or have more multi time? I have 1200tt only 40 multi. There is a job that will type me in a saberliner but only fly 80 hrs a year salary or another job maybe in a king air 200 with roughly 8hrs a week $200 a day I'm not sure if that's only the days I fly or weekly. Please I could use some input.

If the Saberliner job could be a good long term position (Pic job) I would consider it unless the pay scale is at food stamp level.

Depends on how quicjly you want to move up the ladder

The flight time is nothing on the Sabre, but a jet type and a little turbojet time can't hurt. I assume you could supplement this job with side jobs, CFI at the very least?

The kingair thing would pay about $50K if you fly five days a week. If you fly twice a week it would pay $20K...better find out the answer to that question before you decide. Even if it's $20K you would be building quality turbine time

The sabre type by itself will not enhance your career enough to make up for the low flight hours. The kingair is probably the way to go, but you need to find out how much it pays. If it's $20K, might want to just go to a regional...lot more flight time each year.

If the Sabre job would be stable and make you happy, and $50K is enough for the time being then do that. But probably plan on doing some kind of flying on the side to build time...otherwise it would take over ten years to get 1000 turbine time....

It is for an old money family. Yeah I'm a CFI and going to finish my seaplane rating this spring might look at switching to instruct in the seaplane the owner could use an extra guy. My same concern is the lack of hours but there are some at the airport I can take advantage of.

Do what makes you happiest and you'll have a way to afford your life. Sometimes simplier is better.
