Internships
#1
Hey I was wondering if anyone could personally help me out on finding any college internships in the flight operations department of any airlines ( private or commercial ). I'm a student at ERAU and the postings are pretty much non-existent or super competitive. I'm also working on my commercial certification so that means I cant apply for certain airlines ( AA, Southwest, Skywest, Ameriflight ). If anyone has any information please let me know. If you land me an intern you might be highly rewarded

. PM if need be.

Which Embry-Riddle campus are you attending? Have you gone to the Career Services Department? Brian Carhide is the rep in Daytona, Michael Gregory is the rep in Prescott.
The reason internships are competitive is because they work. Internships have helped me with my career. They allow you to get hired with reduced minimums. What is not making you competitive? Maybe you can create an internship with a company where there is not an agreement with Embry-Riddle. One thing is for sure, bribing people will get you nowhere in this industry.

I'm actually worldwide. Ive been searching for the right person to contact ( ive been on my own through eaglehire). I just sent Brian an email. Hopefully it gets the ball rolling. I do understand what your saying but I was making the point that the positions available are very hard to get, for example UPS ( I know people who had UPS captains hand in their resumes for them and got turned down ). In addition, I'm just not qualified for the competitive internships, I believe they require at least a comm and cfi, hence my disqualification for AA, Skywest, Southwest, Ameriflight, etc etc. Right now I've just been contacting private jet charters and such. Thanks for the help! (fyi the bribe was a joke, don't be so serious with yourself )
P.S. if you know any airlines that require less than a commercial certification please let me. All I know who offers lower is United.
