Doesn't everyone hate their job? I would hate to see you give up something decent to get wrapped up in an industry where management types KNOW how much pilots love flying, and use that against us.

block30.
"FAA active pilots as of 2011; 120,865 Commercial,142,511 ATPs. Waiting on the shortage."
I like your statement however I would like to add that there could easily be twice that amount since the FAA only keeps track of "active" pilots. There are plenty of guys of flying age who have let their medical go and are not counted but are still able to work.
Add to that military guys who do not hold civilian credentials.
No shortage.
