I flew for a 121 carrier 3 years ago as a first officer. I was on the line for 3 years before leaving aviation to start a business. Now, I want to get back into flying, but I haven't flown a single hour in the past 3 years. I'd like to start applying to the regionals but I'm being told airlineapps will just filter out my application. I plan on getting an IPC to become current. However, I don't want to spend the money on this if they are just going to deny me based on recent experience.
Finally, as I plug my logbook totals into airline apps, they add total time different than I logged it. I can't just go changing my logbook, that will make a huge mess. Any advise on either concern is appreciated.

Airline Apps for some reason never quit agrees with my book, but there should not be any huge deltas.
Recency is going to be an issue at most airlines. In reality you need to either do some CFI work, find some other part-time gig to get some hours, or buy a block of time.
