OSHA has nothing to do with the MEL. Tell them your next phone call is to the feds. I had to do that once or twice with a crappy 121 supplemental outfit I flew for in the past. But make sure you got your ducks in a row.

Yes OSHA has no jurisdiction in aviation, that is all the FAA.

Sometimes I wish they did...there are a lot of things we do that just wouldn't fly in any other industry (pun intended).

Have everything documented, take photos, names, dates, times, places, etc. Have your game air tight. Also, pun intended.

Get a lawyer to send them a legal notice. Have evidence. Your best bet is to get in touch with previous pilots and ask them the specifics.
