MBA

I was wondering what everyone's thought of an MBA would be and what value would it be. I know Delta says that Graduate Education is prefered, so there is a plus there. I have my Undergrad in Aviation Technology (4 Year Degree B.S.) as well as a double minor in Economics and Business, and am looking at an MBA (possibly online at UND as they charge resident tuition no matter where you live for this program). I currently have 1300 or so hours and am a CFI/CFII/MEI, and looking to go to the airlines when I turn 23 later this year (will be at ATP mins a few months before then), but is it seen as a great help to have an MBA or other non related masters degree?

A masters might help a little with a major airline. But don't spend time or money on that if it's going to slow your progress towards quality flight experience. It should be gravy, not at the expense of something you really need.
There are some statistics that get tossed around showing that majors hire pilots with masters. The statistics are true at face value, but nowhere near as meaningful as you might think...
Majors like to hire military pilots, and the military wants it's officers to have a master's. Many even get it paid for by the DoD while on active duty. But they got hired because of their military flight experience, not their master's.

it is "the" national accreditation. Similar to ABA (American Bar Association) for law schools.
As a part-time MBA student myself, I would look at only AACSB schools

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) was founded in 1916 to accredit schools of business worldwide. The first accreditations took place in 1919.[1] The stated mission is to advance quality management education worldwide through accreditation and thought leadership.[2] It is regarded as the benchmark for business school quality among the academic community.[

I think AACSB is icing on the cake. It certainly won't hurt but I am not convinced schools that offer MBA programs without that particular accreditation are inferior or have less utility in the business or aviation world!

Never heard airlines cared--you have a link to the data?
Makes sense with mil guys since you're pretty much forced to get one. But are there really many folks who came up civ route that have masters?
