Default HR Meet and Greet Question

I'm going to attend an aviation tradeshow that and airline I'd like to work for will be at. I've been to the tradeshow before and it's very informal with lots of GA related presentations and booths and very few people formally dressed. Being that I'm going to try to meet HR and give them a resume, what would be a good dresscode? I want them to think I'm serious and I care, but not that I'm VERY overdressed for the event or a dork for showing up in a suit if that makes sense... But I'm happy to do so if that's best. Thoughts?

I would not wear a suit or even the blue blazer (unless you just hopped out of your Gulfstream) and also leave the epaulets at home. I would suggest Business Casual, though there is no clear definition of that... A pair of Kahki's and a golf shirt would be the low end. I would go with something like grey slacks (with cuffs) and a plaid shirt that is not too loud, sleeves dependant on the Wx, black belt and leather shoes. I know a guy that got a great flying job and interviewed wearing shorts and a tee shirt, but I ain't that good!
