Under the "Affiliates" tab it gives the option of "Unemployed by virtue of a lay-off/shutdown from ALPA-represented carrier"
Well I was furloughed from an ALPA carrier (4 years ago)- but I am not unemployed (working as a corporate pilot).
Do I just check this box, or check the "Other-specify below", or do I even qualify as an "Affiliate"?

Yeah, my first thought was to check the box labeled "Other- specify below" and then in the explanation box write "Furloughed from an ALPA carrier - currently employed as corporate pilot" - but I wound up checking nothing instead.
I didn't know if United recognizes all furloughed ALPA pilots as "affiliates" or just those that are currently unemployed.

Some of these carriers don't fully think out application questions, then you're left with questions like this one. IF you choose to take it literally, you may **** someone off.
For example, when they want PRIA from "every certified air carrier and flight school" you've worked at, they really want PRIA from your corporate jobs.
