Default Airline Apps Addendum Question

Under the addendum section of Airlineapps, there is a question that asks,

"Have you ever been the subject of an evaluation board or been removed from flight status, downgraded, or failed any portion of flight training either civilian or military?"

The only thing that I have that comes close to any of these was that I had a surgery, and was placed by my company on short-term disability for 3 weeks. I wanted to use vacation time for this, however I came up short of days so I had no choice but to use the disability time. Obviously, I couldn't fly during this time.

My question is, should that be considered "removed from flight status," as stated above? Or is that only asking about being removed from flight status due to some other reason?

Thanks in advance!

Default Airline Apps Addendum Question

Good question. It is a poorly written question. My company is constantly removing pilots from flight status anytime you don't have 3 takeoff a and landings in 90 days, miss a grace month for training, forget to get a new medical by the end of month, don't do an LMS fast enough, and many other things. I too was out for 3 weeks to get my eyes done. I was never forcefully removed from flight status. I put "no" on the app but now you bring up a good point. I have raised more questions than answers. Sorry.

I took it as a question about being disciplined the first time I read it.

Agreed. I took the question as being forcefully removed from flight status. I will leave that question a "no" then, unless I hear something different.

Thanks for your input!
