I sure wish I could have gone.

I did speak with jetBlue, and the recruiters were fantastic. Told me they were looking for people who really wanted to be here versus just coming here and leaving soon after. From the sounds of it they are getting frustrated from that. I was asked what I knew about the company, what were their values, have I ever taken a ride on them and what did I think.

Honestly if anyone was interested in them or anyone other than the big three my advice would be to speak with as many recruiters there as possible. The lines weren't long at all and they would be excited to see your enthusiasm

Thanks for the info. Too bad I'm too broke to attend I hope it's still a possibility to get a call...

Default OBAP

Just curious how successful you think the OBAP event was in Atlanta. Did it help you get an interview? Was there meaningful face time with the right people? Was it a giant cluster? I'm going Friday.

The people running the conference were extremely friendly and helpful. They tried to help things run smoothly with the times, but by later in the afternoon people were still waiting in long lines. Longest line I stood in was Delta (close to two hours), shortest was FedEx and jetBlue (no lines). If you are going I would say hit up 'the big three' as soon as possible and you'll have plenty of time to speak with others towards the end of the day.

For full disclosure I am a white male and this was my first OBAP conference. I would say close to 80-90 percent were white males, 99.5 percent wearing suits, and the recruiters and personnel putting on the event were very nice. Overall a nice experience.
Did you have a time set up to meet with each of the big airlines? Is more of a free for all instead of time slots now?

I did have time slots for all three. It didn't work that well to be honest but at least allowed everyone to segment which ones they were going to first. The good thing though is that you were able to meet with everyone you wanted to meet with. Apparently speaking to people in line it was much better than Women in Aviation. I have never been to theirs so I can't compare. For this one the doors opened about 11:15, I met with all big three plus four others and was out the door at 5pm. Seven airlines in under five hours. (Not counting a quick snack and coffee break).

Did OBAP today, talked with everyone I wanted to and even some I did not. Time slots worked great at AA, OK at DAL, and UA was running way behind. Walked up to SWA and FEX with no wait. All in all pleasantly surprised by my first fair.

Does anyone know the current email format for Delta employees (pilots)? My thank you email was undeliverable, maybe have the incorrect format or incorrect spelling. Thanks!
