Default Career counseling service

I just got an email from one of the career counseling services and it looks like Part 121 is out.

I will pursue Part 135 and Part 91 when the comes. How I go about getting my training above the PPL level and to do it in the most cost effective manner is still yet to be determined. Although, I weighing heavily what rickair7777 suggested.

This really hurts . I'm at a crossroads. I got some decisions to make.

Sorry to hear...Why not stay at your current job and do the CFI thing on the weekends / summers? Once you have some financial security (house paid off, etc...) you can do a summer in Alaska or work 135 freight.

You know LAFF, I just don't know.

In between the time that I got that email and went over to the local Pilot Shop @ Naples airport and shared what had just transpired, I was told by two pilots there who are flying 91 & 135 respectively that what I was told was BS. BS in the sense that if I have no felony convictions and only a bad check and disturbing the peace conviction back in 2000, then I shouldn't have any problems with the airlines.

What I plan on doing is just getting my 10 background investigation report from the FBI myself, then forwarding a copy of that report to members of OBAP that are in HR at the Part 121 level and go from there.

I rather hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak.
