Question Tell me everything.,

Before I get started, I do understand that there's many many many posts about this specific topic, however I feel it's more convenient to have it all answered here, and I'm sure others will too.

I appreciate the reading as well!
Here's some background:
I'm a young guy looking to do what he's most passionate about, which is flying professionally. Currently, I'm taking flight lessons, and I consider myself, above of the game, and knowledgeable.
I've always had a certain wonder for aviation, and I believe that I'd be a great pilot;. I've taken flight simulation of Boeing 737, Airbus 321, 320, 319 very seriously, following all the checklists and sectionals, etc.
First off, what are the pros and cons of flying professionally? (American Airlines is what I hope to be a pilot for)

How is the job market?

What are the benefits?

Is the job security?

Are you provided with a nice hotel?

What route would I be flying daily (long/short)

Do I get payed hourly or salary?

Would you ever recommend someone stay away from this career?

Would you switch careers with the same pay if possible?

If you had a kid, would you recommend he does such?

What degree do you have, and do you believe it's required??

Thank you for the answers guys!

You'll find that folks here and in the industry at large aren't impressed with those who seek the easiest way out. If convenience is most important to you, then you may pursuing the wrong career path.

This site, like most, has a search engine which works, and you can lift a finger to help yourself and find the answer to every one of your questions, most of them in abundance.

I realize it's a lot more convenient to have someone else do all your work for you, but you won't find much sympathy from that approach here, given that all the answers are easily had from your very own keyboard.

noah -

Asking for ANOTHER thread on the exact same questions that have been covered so many times, many in the recent past, causes others to search through more information that you don't want to search through yourself.

Some questions like 'How is the job market' have HUNDREDS of threads and THOUSANDS of pages of information. Others like 'would you recommend this career to your kids' have recent threads discussing the exact same question.

Please use the search function and then if you have any more tailored questions - search first - then come back and ask.

Also - here is a link that will get you started:
