Another vote for Zap, spot-on.
It really is amazing how people perceive similar experiences though. With the exception of one trip in 2014, I've felt pretty much 180 out from JDFlyer. Ex-military guy, lucky enough to live 20 mins from base. Considering FO pay (particularly after a new contract likely later this year), work schedule, and people, I've been really happy with overall QOL...

New contract later this year?! Dude, you're delusional. Negotiations WILL drag on for several more years.
Bottom line:
The company's crossed their arms (and put a lock on its pocketbook), and neither SWAPA or the pilot group have the balls, mindset, or organization to do anything effective about it.
I've been through this several times now. The writing on the wall is very easy to read.......there will be no new contract for A WHILE (unless we agree to "flattish").

I think his point was that you would make more money as a jetBlue Captain than as a SW first officer. For example, two pilots are hired. One at jetBlue, one at Southwest. JetBlue pilot upgrades at year 5. SW at year 15. JB guy made - and invested- more money for a decade. Would be difficult for SW guy to catch up.
I don't think he was implying that a JB FO could make more than a SW FO.
Ummm, JB was started by former SWA guys. Perhaps they swiped some of the magic formula...
The guy that started it was fired long ago. He's now in Brazil, lucky bastage.
Let me guess, he landed there with a golden umbrella...

Created Morris air-->merged with Southwest; Didn't get along with execs -->created WestJet-->created JetBlue after non compete expired with southwest--> ousted at JetBlue, created Azul in Brazil. David Neeleman sure has had the golden touch.

Question no one is asking: If he's so amazing, why does he keep getting fired? Just sayin'
