Default Up in coming CFI

Hey guys I am currently working on my CFI rating in the PNW. I am trying to stay somewhere on the west coast when I am based with whatever regional I apply too. Any advice on to which regionals are the best to apply to to fulfill my wish. Or does anyone have any advice for me.

Yes. Look at the hundreds of other threads that talk about this.

Probably Skywest, and it's up-and-coming

Yeah everyone instructor basically is going to Skywest from my current flight school! Seems like the best option or Compass.

Hmm, you have a long time to sit on this, get your 1000, or 1500 hours that you need first, a lot can and will change by the time you are hirable.
My other suggestion is that you don't put all your eggs in one basket. Have a second career that you are "professionally qualified" in.
No question, the regional that allows you to live at home should be one of your first choices, and all the better if it is a reputable one with good benefits.

Don't overthink it. Enjoy instructing and building time for now, scratching a living out of instructing in the PNW will be enough for you to deal with for now!

Right now Horizon is in an interesting state of turmoil, but this place could be totally different in a year or two. I would keep an eye on what goes on here though if I were you. Based on domiciles alone, Skywest, Compass, and Horizon are the three to consider (and presently in that order IMO, but a year is a loong time in this industry!).

Ugh. You have quite a while before you need to start looking at regionals my build your time and around when you get close to getting you ATP or R-ATP, then start asking this question. A good company this year might be garbage next year. Just ask anyone at expressjet or envoy.

Yes, start here.
Regional | AirlinePilotCentral.com
Lists all their bases, pay scales, current info etc. Do a little research on your own.

I would start by instructing at a part 61 school. I have a buddy at WMU who is logging 20 hours a month. I am at a part 61 school logging 130 hours a month... Big difference! Seniority is everything and the sooner you hit the 1,000 hours, the better off you will be!
