Default Looking For Advice

Hello all,
I am a military helo pilot transitioning toward the airlines, I currently have 800 hrs TT, and need to pick up 92 hrs PIC time and the multi time plus CTP/ATP which I am working toward for a restricted ATP.
I am interested in working in the southeast (VA to FL to TX) and wanted to know what the forum's thoughts were about the regional airlines that have hubs in the southeast. I am interested in everything from hub locations (willing to relocate) to quality of life, to aircraft and upgrade times. Anything you wish someone might have told you as a new guy is most appreciated. Thanks!

Very respectfully,
Rob Groothousen

Gojet, PSA, or Mesa are your best bet.

Picking a regional for the base, is like picking your 1st wife because she wears white GoGo boots.........
Sounds like a great idea, until your base closes.

I like the double-barreled shotgun approach. That is apply to EVERYONE taking applications, as your qualifications allow.

Once you get a job OFFER, then you decide if you want to take the job or not.

After you get all the data for an application, follow on applications are easy. I also realize much is online now with the electronic process.

I just don't see a reason to target a narrow area, though we all have favorites.

All,
Many thanks for the responses, apologies if I kicked a major can of worms and for vague questions. I'm really at the fairly initial stages of even thinking about this, so any advice or factors that affected your decisions are useful to me.
I guess of particular interest would be how different airlines are dealing with the shortage. I'm not opposed to being a flying workhorse, I am afraid of taking a job and then a couple weeks or months later I'm looking again because the airline had to downsize or shutter due to financial issues.

Thank you!
