Default Envoy or Endeavor?

Torn between Endeavor and Envoy for NYC based. Have offers from both and cannot decide which would be best. With ENY now offering LGA it makes the decision much more difficult. ENY seems to be improving and growing whereas endeavor seems to be a stable airline to be at, but no one knows what DL has in mind with them for the future. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Envoy. AA is looking to grow Envoy, plus guaranteed flow if you need it.

Endeavor is adding 20 more planes in 2017 alone. Definitely growing.

We also have an instant upgrade at Endeavor.

What's your long term goal? If it's AA go to Envoy if it's DL go to Endeavor

So 9E is getting 20 more -200's? Are there any talks of the future of the -200 in NYC?

Yes, 20 more 200s. Many will be based in NYC I'm sure. NYC has been and will continue to be the junior base for us. Delta says eventually they want to swap the 50 seat for 76 seat flying in NYC but I think that's not going to happen now with the large RJ scope not happening with the pilot union there.

Honestly, I think Endeavor is still a good bet. They had as of a year ago amazing signing and retention bonuses. Not sure where they are with that now, though. I can find out if you're not sure, but I'm sure you are.

As with any wholly owned (my experience is with 9E/NW/Delta), you can't expect any type of loyalty but I think 9E still has a good 5-7 years in them. DL has spent a lot of money on them and things seem to be more solid than they have been in a long time. They incorporated a good certificate and lots of innovation from Mesaba (as much as it pains me to say this- Mesabataging was a thing back in DTW, haha).

You can't disregard the possibility that they will be ASA'd or Comair'd though.

I'll counter this with the fact that I know absolutely nothing about Envoy.

I'd look at the flow agreements and see which is best or which would allow you to pay off your student loans, if you have any.

20 more next year, but apparently they won't be coming from the desert this time, but from other dci carriers. Once they go into and come out of heavy check as needed, they will be transferred to 9e instead of back to whomever had them. Just a temporary build up for a couple years until we aquire 2 class frames from carriers that can't staff (which we know there will be a few). They are looking to get around 200 planes on property at peak (both 200s and 2 class), then drop down to 170-180 all 2 class when they once and for all park the 200s (5 year plan). 200s should be out of NYC by 2018. Also confirmed they are looking into a southern base. This all from the bbq&a @ dtw today.

Of course this could change next week and probably won't happen at all, but as of today that is the outlook.

Their APC profile says 1,000 with the company is required to upgrade. If a 121 guy applies he can upgrade without a 1,000 at the company?

Website probably will update soon... Company time has been reduced to meet upgrade demand.
