Default international jumpseat?

I know when jumpseating internationally on pax carriers you still have to pay departure taxes (usually at the ticket counter or gate). When jumpseating internationally on a cargo flight do you still have to pay the taxes and if so how/when do you pay?

I've hitched a ride on Atlas to and from South America many many many (many) times. Never paid a dime.

Atlas is great international. I wish some of the other major cargo carriers would get on board with this.

Kalitta is another great option for international jumpseating.. Good crews, average catering, and a pretty consistent schedule to Europe and Asia.
